Question by Tsl19: What are the best sites to buy cheap(er) textbooks?
I’m starting grad school soon and have to buy textbooks, and am looking to save money any possible way. What are some good sites for buying cheaper, used or discounted textbooks?

Amazon.com and half.com are great! You can buy used books, in all sorts of conditions, even new, for way cheaper than the bookstore.

I’m going to be starting my nursing program for school and I’m looking for cheap textbooks. I know the nook offers textbooks but is it a good idea to purchase them through barnes and noble? Would it be more convient and cost less to just buy textbooks and/or where is the best place to buy cheap used/new textbooks?

Whenever I buy textbooks online, I use www.bigwords.com
It’s a search engine that finds the cheapest book prices over the whole web. If barnes and noble is selling your book at the best price, it will be listed under bigwords. Same goes for nook. Give it a shot – I’ve spent hours searching for good book prices all over the web and I’ve saved the most money and time using bigwords. Granted, you may have to set up accounts with several booksellers for the best prices, but I think its well worth it! Good luck!
